Earned Income Tax Credit

A provision of the tax code that lets low- and moderate-income workers and families reduce what they owe in federal income tax. If there is no tax due, the EITC is paid to the worker or family. The amount of the credit depends on your earned income, filing status and the number of qualifying children. See Tax Credit
