Publicly Traded Company

A company whose shares of stock are listed and available for purchase on a public stock exchange, such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. Publicly traded companies must register with the SEC and regularly disclose financial information, including annual and quarterly reports, and material events. Transparency allows investors to make timely and informed decisions. See Private Equity
