Glossary

Fiduciary

An individual or firm legally required to act in their client’s best interest. Registered Investment Advisors are required to act as fiduciaries, as are lawyers, doctors and accountants. Stockbrokers and insurance agents, and the brokerage firms and insurance companies that hire them, are not. See Suitability, Utmost Good Faith
