FOMO

Short for “fear of missing out,” a behavioral bias that causes investors to make impulsive decisions driven by anxiety that others are profiting from a market trend they are not participating in. FOMO often leads to buying overpriced assets near the peak of a rally. It can cause significant financial harm. See Herd Mentality Bias
