Guardian

The person appointed by a court to care for a ward, typically a minor or incapacitated adult. The guardian provides or arranges for the ward’s day-to-day care and manages the ward’s finances, education and health care. The guardian submits periodic reports to the court. If you name a guardian for your minor children in your will, the court typically honors your choice. See Beneficiary, Trust, Trustee
